      Assistant Studio Manager (ASM) About Street Studios Street Studios is a bustling, high-end photographic studio complex in East London, serving leading photographers, art directors, and global brands for nearly 25 years. Job Overview This is a critical, hands-on leadership role that supports the Studio Manager in the daily operations of our complex. You will be the key operational leader on the floor, responsible for coordinating the studio, ensuring premium client service, and guiding our team of assistants. We are looking for a highly responsible problem-solver with a "can-do" attitude and a knack for practical maintenance who can set an example for the whole team. Key Responsibilities Client Experience & Service Leadership You will be the face of Street Studios, welcoming high-end clients and ensuring they are settled and supported throughout their booking. This includes: - Delivering a professional, calm, and welcoming standard of customer service at all times. 
- Actively gathering client feedback and translating it into positive, actionable improvements. 
- Upholding the studio's presentation standards, ensuring the entire building is maintained in excellent, shoot-ready condition. 
 Operations & Team Management You will assist the Studio Manager with team coordination and be responsible for the smooth daily flow of the complex: - Assist with the training, coordination, and day-to-day management of the freelance Studio Assistants. 
- Lead the team on the floor, delegating tasks and ensuring all daily operational requirements are completed to a high standard. 
- Oversee building security protocols, including opening and closing the complex, and reporting any security issues. 
- Ensure strict adherence to all Health and Safety regulations. 
- Manage basic administrative tasks and maintain effective communication across the team and with service providers. 
 Maintenance & Practical Support This role requires a proactive approach to the physical environment: - Perform essential and preventative basic maintenance tasks (in and out of the studios). 
- Utilize a basic knowledge of DIY and power tools to address day-to-day fixes and general upkeep. 
- Handle and organize photographic equipment (experience is a plus, but not essential). 
 Person Specification The ideal candidate is: - Highly Responsible with a professional manner, positive attitude, and exceptional attention to detail. 
- A proven team player and leader with solid communication skills, able to mentor junior staff. 
- A flexible and dedicated individual, committed to working variable hours, including early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekends.

- Possesses a practical and hands-on approach to problem-solving.

 Desirable Experience - Basic knowledge of DIY and using power tools.

 Key Details - Hours: 9 hours per day, Monday to Friday (with required early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend work based on studio bookings).

The Opportunity We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Bookings Coordinator - Maternity Cover to be the operational heart of our Haggerston studio complex. Working closely with the Managing Director, Studio Manager, and Production Assistant, you will be crucial in maximizing studio occupancy and ensuring the seamless delivery of our busy daily schedule. This is a key role for someone who thrives on responsibility, client interaction, and the fast pace of the photographic and moving image industry. What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities) You will manage the entire booking lifecycle, from initial enquiry to final invoice: - Booking Management & Maximisation: Strategically manage the calendar for eight studio spaces, implementing and refining an options system to maximize confirmed bookings and revenue. 
- Client Relationship Management: Sustain and nurture strong, long-term relationships with our diverse clientele, ensuring they receive consistently excellent service. 
- Operational Oversight: Coordinate the smooth running of the studio office by prioritizing and overseeing multiple jobs and internal processes simultaneously. 
- Financial Administration: Accurately process all job invoicing using QuickBooks and manage new client credit checks efficiently. 
- Service Promotion & Development: Proactively promote the full range of Street Studios' services and actively contribute ideas for continually reviewing and improving the client offering. 
- Team Coordination: Clearly communicate booking needs to the Studio Manager and MD, and manage the workflow and delegation of tasks to the Production Assistant. 
- Uphold Company Values: Ensure the values of Street Studios are consistently upheld in every client and supplier interaction.

      Freelance Studio Assistant Street Studios is a busy full-service studio complex, established for nearly 25 years, we work with photographers, art directors and high end brands to provide everything to make their shoots a success. We are looking for dynamic and hard-working people to join our team of Studio Assistants. As the face of Street Studios it is essential you have a professional, calm and approachable manner. Hours usually differ each week according to bookings, so flexibility is a must. We run our studios with the help of Freelance studio assistants, shifts can vary each week and will also depend on client demand. You would have control over which days you can give availability for each week. The higher availability you have then the more shifts you can receive. An ideal job for anyone starting out in the industry and wanting experience. Training on site - no experience necessary but a bonus if you do. We are ideally looking for someone who can give 3/5 days availability including weekends. You must be: - An enthusiastic and motivated self-starter, with a positive outlook 
- Flexible, and able to commit to long hours as overtime can be frequent 
- Confident with a varied and physically demanding role 
- An excellent communicator who is attentive to details 
- Able to work well independently and as team 
 The role: - Reporting to Studio Managers 
- Delivering a consistent high level of service 
- Preparing and resetting studios for each client, taking pride in the presentation of our studios 
- To carry out basic maintenance, painting and cleaning 
- Covering the front desk, welcoming clients, responding to requests and fielding phone calls 
- Handling photographic equipment (experience is desirable, but not essential) 
 The role is freelance so you will have some control over the days you work. Pay : - £12.25 /ph (£12.85 after 9 hours worked)
